The Bayou Bee

As we mentioned earlier, anyone that’s anyone will be at Bourbon Boogaloo by Ragged Branch Distillery tomorrow (Thursday) from 5 – 7PM at Pearl Wine Co. We also mentioned that we would be serving a certain signature cocktail by the name of: The Bayou Bee. What we did not provide you with is the recipe or photographs of this beautiful libation….

Well good news- here it is! Behold the Bayou Bee by Ragged Branch Distillery

In a shaker over ice combine:

-1.5oz Ragged Branch Rye Bourbon 

-.75oz Fresh Lemon Juice 

-.5oz Honey Syrup*

-1/2 eye dropper Woodford Reserve Cherry Bitters

-3 Fresh Basil Leaves 

 

*Honey Syrup: Equal parts good quality local honey and warm water 

 

Shake to chill, and strain into a chilled coupe glass

Garnish with basil, and serve 

Well that sounds delicious and refreshing. We even special ordered Bitters for this wonderful drink. Our guess is that you will probably want to be at Pearl Wine Co. tomorrow, Thursday, from 5 – 7PM to sip this cocktail, taste some Ragged Branch Distillery Bourbon and come say Hi to me of course!
